Admissions at the Community High School

We welcome families seeking a private special education high school in New Jersey where understanding, encouragement, and individualized support help every student grow with confidence.

Admissions Step-by-Step:

1. INQUIRE & CONNECT
Interested parents should contact the school admissions department at 201-862-1796, extension 112 or admissions@communityschool.k12.nj.us.

2. TOUR OUR CAMPUS
Before applying, we suggest to schedule a private tour of our school where you will be able to observe our students and teachers in the classroom and learn more about our exceptional program.

3. STUDENT VISIT
After your initial tour and intake forms have been submitted, students have the opportunity to visit as an Eagle for the Day, where prospective High School students are paired one-on-one with a Student Ambassador to experience life at CHS firsthand.

4. ENROLLMENT DECISION
Community High School has a rolling admissions policy, and applications are accepted throughout the school year. Enrollment is open to both private and public school students in New York and New Jersey. Students are selected on the basis of their ability to benefit from the Community High School special education program.
